Random Nature

Formed in 2019 by a group of Lafayette dads who love classic rock music, the granite rocks of the High Sierra, and home-brewed beer, Random Nature plays favorite one-hit wonders and rock n roll hits of the 1950’s to the early 2010’s.  Inspired by the perfect randomness of nature, the song selection is popular, eclectic, and more than a little random.  There is something for everyone with a mix of recognizable hit songs that are guaranteed to get you dancing, grooving, clapping, and singing.  Everything from Elvis, the Beatles, Queen, and Lou Reed to George Ezra, the Lumineers, Coldplay, and Mumford & Sons…and everything in between. 

The band has played numerous private parties and corporate events over the years, including birthday celebrations, retirement parties, and block parties throughout the Bay Area.  Recent larger events have included the 2024 and 2025 Lafayette Community Day in the Plaza, the 2024 and 2025 Lafayette Community Church Grove Concert in the Park, Rossmoor’s 2023 and 2025 Gateway Concerts, and Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE) Crab Feed Fundraiser.

As one of the only 100% home-grown Lafayette bands in the 2025 Art and Wine Festival, we are proud to represent our beautiful, vibrant community.  Looking forward to rocking with you in September!
