LUMBERYARD is: Dan DeShara guitar/vocals, Tom Fleming guitar/vocals, Jim Bogios drums/vocals, Dave McCullough bass, Paul Shenton bass.
LUMBERYARD is a "good-time, foot stompin' classic rock, funk, soul, techno dance band." The name came courtesy of the late, great Jeff Slingerland. The word LUMBERYARD seemed to be earthy yet not to dirty, obtuse yet still reaky with clarity, appealing un-repulsive and lastly; visually stimulating. Men think of building workshops and women think of knotty pine. Somehow it works...
Dan DeShara who plays guitar and adds vocals to this very diverse ensemble has another back story in Lafayette. When I think of one band that dominated the music scene east of the Caldecott Tunnel, back in the 80’s it has to be the Buzztones. Whether it was Wednesdays at Abernathy’s, Mountain Jacks, the Rocking Horse (had to throw that one in there) or backyard parties, they were Lafayette’s House Band. Although the Buzztones will occasionally come back to do reunion concerts, they all have their own projects. Dan has had a fantastic solo career along with forming Lumberyard. Like the Buzztones, Lumberyard’s music comes from those same rock & roll roots. Their set will take you through the sounds of your childhood. The music you listened to every day on your transistor radio. Dan is joined by Tom Fleming, Jim Bogios, Dave McCullough and Paul Shenton. Welcome back to Lafayette Dan!
