You’ll hear this band go from 40’s Glen Miller or jump jive swing to 2011’s “dance beat” or “Widespread Panic” independent; from 60’s Beatles and Motown to Reggae to Country to Sinatra to 70’s Disco / R & B to 80’s “New Wave” and AC/DC “Classic Rock” to 50’s Elvis to New Latin/Salsa to Broadway Show Ballads to “The Dave Mathews Band” to Hip Hop “Black Eyed Peas”!
What Dave Martin says about the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival "The Lafayette Art & Wine Festival is truly a gem! The charming town environment only adds to the appeal of this "not to be missed" annual Bay Area event! David Martin's House Party is excited to again perform at the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival; where audiences know how to celebrate art - and life!"
I met David in 1980 when we worked together at the Rusty Scupper in Oakland. David was a lunch server and I was his manager. He had this new band called the Buzztones and I followed them everywhere they played for the next 9 years.
David Martin is our “homegrown” musician that has graced our stages many times over the years. An Acalanes High School graduate, rumor has it that his first gigs were Happy Valley Elementary School’s sixth grade graduation and a Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast.
David Martin’s House Party is a band made up of some of the best musicians in the Bay Area. And the material they cover material from Huey Lewis and The News, to Rihanna, the Zac Brown Band, Widespread Panic and Glen.
